Build Your Own Cutting/Charcuterie Board
Choose from a selection of domestic hardwoods and create your own special gift. Wood and shop time are included to allow you to complete your woodworking project. Use your own design or choose one of ours. For the novice woodworker we will guide you through all the steps needed to complete your project. This is not a kit! You will be cutting and shaping the wood yourself. Rough project size is 12” x 18” and final size is based on your chosen design. A link to schedule shop time will be sent after purchase and requires TWO sessions:
Session 1
Design- choose your wood and your shape. The wood and shape should work together to give the look you want. Use one of our templates or design your own.
Glue up- glue your chosen wood using water proof wood glue to form the blank for your project. Glue must cure for 24 hours.
Session 2
Cut- using either the bandsaw or jigsaw (your choice) cut the blank to the chosen shape.
Refine- smooth and shape the edges to give a pleasing texture.
Oil and wax- Immerse in a mineral oil bath and take home a can of PGHWoodwax to finish and protect your board.
We can accomodate groups up to four makers.
